SLATE

Slate is fine-granited homogeneous metamorphic rock that can mostly used on kitchen and bathroom floors. It is also shale type sedimentary rock composed of volcanic matter. The stone is hard and brittle however, the grain structure is so fine when it polished slate become dull but is smooth to the touch. One interesting fact about slate rock that over time , it may transform into another metamorphic rocks such as schist or phyllite.
